Risbridger Overspill Collection Kit

RISBRIDGER OVERSPILL COLLECTION KIT

So you’ve chosen the Risbridger Engine Oil Replenishment Pump and now you need to get to work on replenishing the IDG (Aircraft Integrated drive Generator).

Let’s look at what this entails:

· Depressurize the IDG by connecting the drain coupling (Risbridger part number : 1872COUPLING) to an overflow hose, point the hose in a bucket & collect the spilled oil.

·  Once depressurized, connect the fill coupling (Risbridger Part Number: 1870COUPLING ). Ensure you check the hose for continuity and conductivity.

·  Operate the pump to add specified engine oil to the IDG.

·  Check the IDG sight glass to monitor the replenishment is at the correct level. Too much oil may become too hot and cause internal damage to the IDG.

Sounds simple, but there is room for error. What if, in case of a slip-up, you find the hose spills and creates mess?

Let the Risbridger Overspill Collection Kit take the stress out of the situation

There are many advantages – it’s easy to use, reduces risk of splash back and helps limit environmental damage and pollution due to accidents.

The 2315MK4 Overspill Collection Kit connects directly to the IDG drain port and has its own 5 litre reservoir, helping the user to avoid splashes and oil spillages. It offers automatic venting when connected to the half coupling, thereby allowing free drainage of oil to bottle.

It’s even helpful when not in use. By connecting the hose end to the bottle, contents are drained away cleanly and the stowed hose acts as a handle.

The only disadvantage? What to do with the bucket…
